Come discover why ANC is the place for networking! Over four exciting days, you will come face to face with thousands of colleagues from districts across the nation, allowing you the opportunity to discuss trends, swap tips, exchange ideas and benchmark your current practices. Here are just a few events and ANC favorites that will connect you with school nutrition professionals of all levels:

Wednesday, July 17

Don’t think we don’t think about how to entertain you! To conclude ANC 2013, Darius Rucker will take the stage at the Kansas City Convention Center, serenading the membership with tunes such as his country breakout hit, “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It.”

If there’s one thing country fans and rock fans have in common, it’s Darius Rucker. His recent explosion on to the country scene may have widened Rucker’s appeal, but his fan base goes back to the 1990s when Rucker was simply known as “Hootie,” the front man for the rock group, Hootie and the Blowfish. Although Rucker’s a country boy now, the SNA membership just might get a glimpse back into his pop-rock past!

Sway to the rhythm of some of Rucker’s recent numbers, including “Alright,” “History in the Making” and “Come Back Song.” However, don’t be surprised if you hear the sounds of Hootie hits, such as “Let Her Cry,” adapted to incorporate a slight country twang.

Don’t miss the crooning of this country-rock superstar as he entertains the ANC 2013 attendees. The concert takes place at 8:00 pm Wednesday, July 17, in the Kansas City Convention Center. Your ticket is included in the full conference registration fee; however, space is limited. Be sure to indicate your intention to attend on the ANC Registration Form.
