House Appropriations Committee Approves FY20 Agriculture Appropriations
On Tuesday, the full House Appropriations Committee met to markup the FY2020 Agriculture Appropriations bill. The bill included several school meals provisions impacting the School Breakfast Program, Paid Lunch Equity, and commodity support. The bill must pass the full House floor and be agreed to in the Senate before it is sent to the President for signature. Read more details in Tuesday Morning.
House Subcommittee Holds Hearing on FNS Policies and Priorities
Last week, the House Education and Labor Committee's Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Human Services held a hearing to examine the policies and priorities of USDA FNS, the agency responsible for implementation of federal Child Nutrition Programs.
