U.S. House Appropriations Committee Approves $20 Million for SBP Commodities
The full House Appropriations Committee approved the FY2019 Agriculture Appropriations Bill on May 16th on a vote of 31-20. SNA was successful in getting two of its legislative priorities included in the bill language that the Committee approved. Read More
2018 Farm Bill Defeated in the U.S. House
On May 18, 2018, in the U.S. House of Representatives, the 2018 Farm Bill was defeated on the Floor by a vote of 198-213. The bill contained language directing USDA to revamp the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act. Read More

Submit Comments on Regulatory Reform
USDA is requesting ideas from the public on how they can provide better customer service and remove unintended barriers to participation in Federal programs. USDA is specifically asking for ideas on regulations, guidance documents, or any other policy documents in need of reform. For example, ideas to modify, streamline, expand, or repeal those items. This is the fourth and final opportunity to provide comments on this notice. We encourage you to send your comments through SNA’s portal, or directly submit them to USDA. SNA will form a working group to draft comments for submission. Comments and information are requested on or before July 17, 2018. Learn More
