SNA Certificate Program: New Bridge Level Launching in July 2018
As you begin planning for School Year 2018-19 and exploring professional development opportunities for your school nutrition teams, please be aware that SNA is launching an additional Level to the Certificate in School Nutrition Program. The SNA Certificate Program helps provide professional growth for over 19,000 school nutrition professionals across the country. The new Level 2 will launch in July 2018 and will serve as a “bridge” between the current Level 1 and Level 2. The NEW SNA online ethics module is coming in January 2018! This introductory-level course is both interactive and fun! This course has been designed to reinforce the importance of ethics and the factors of ethical decision-making. SNA’s PPL Committee Meets for 2018 Position Paper Drafting
On December 4, SNA’s President, President-Elect, Public Policy & Legislation Committee and SNA Government Affairs & Media Relations staff met in Alexandria, Va., for the annual Position Paper Drafting Meeting. During the meeting, the responses to the 2018 Position Paper Survey were presented and used to help narrow down what should be included in the 2018 Position Paper. The final paper will be released in early January, so be sure to be on the lookout for that announcement! Read More

SNA Holds Inaugural Block Grant Task Force Meeting
In light of the political climate, and because of the 2018 Position Paper Survey results, SNA felt it was an especially salient time to hold a Block Grant Task Force Meeting. SNA will be closed for the holidays beginning on Christmas Day through New Year’s Day. The office will reopen on January 2, 2018. SN Express will not be published on December 20 and 27. You will receive your first issue of 2018 on January 10.
