A Message from Your SNA Industry Representative
It is encouraging to see that U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, is getting engaged with school nutrition challenges right out of the gate. It will be a great day when we reach a stable point for sustainable programs. The challenges are many, but with all stakeholders being part of the conversation, resolution will be the next step.

The feedback from the Legislative Action Conference Hill visits is very concerning. There are many who are looking to the party line and thus the Block Grant issue is very real. Even though we all understand the looming deconstruction of school lunch that will occur, many legislators think this is the great fix--such a callous outlook. We must all stand united to fight Block Grants! It is the right and socially responsible position for our children.

And finally, it is my time to say goodbye. It’s been an amazing journey, from Mary Hill appointing me to my first task force in 2008, Katie Wilson appointing me to the Industry Advisory Board later that year, and joining the SNA Board in 2012. That road now comes to an end on July 31 this year. It’s been an honor to serve you.

Michael Miller from SMART Temps will do a fine job. Please support him and engage with him for the cause we all believe in so passionately. You all have so much to give!

In closing, I leave you a quote from famed distance runner, Steve Prefontaine: “To give anything less than your best, is to sacrifice the gift.”

Certificate of Insurance
It is mandatory for all companies exhibiting at ANC17 to carry worker’s compensation, comprehensive general liability (including products & operations), independent contractors, personal injury and blanket contractual liability. It is strongly recommended that exhibitors carry insurance to cover loss/damage to their exhibits and personal property while it is located at or in transit to or from the convention center. You cannot access your booth until SNA receives the Certificate of Insurance (COI). Deadline to submit your COI to SNA is May 31.

Exhibitor Registration & Housing
Online Exhibitor Registration is now open. SNA has planned a series of education sessions and general sessions. We encourage you to attend and learn more about the child nutrition industry. Each company receives five (5) complimentary badges per 10x10 booth space purchased. Once your company goes over their badge allotment, there is a $100 fee for additional badges. No badges, above your allotment will be processed without payment. Online registration allows you to make changes and additions to your badge order up until the time the site closes on Friday, June 30, 2017. (Badges will not be mailed, but available for pick up onsite at the registration desk at the Georgia World Congress Center). Register here. If you need assistance with registration, please contact ExpoLogic customer support at (980) 233-3791 or via email.

Housing: This year’s procedures require all Exhibitors to register for badges before they will be provided access to the SNA housing system and the discounted rates at the official ANC 2017 hotels. This change in procedure is designed to help the Association better control the inventory of available rooms, ensuring that a greater number of exhibitors will have the opportunity to book their first-choice hotels on their preferred dates and still receive SNA’s discounted rates.

  1. You MUST register for your badge first.
  2. EPIC/Expo Logic (our official registration company) will forward you a confirmation receipt that will contain a confirmation number and the link to the housing site.
  3. Click on the housing site link within the confirmation receipt and you will be able to reserve your hotel rooms.

If you wish to reserve a block of rooms, please call Conference Direct/the SNA Housing Call Center at (877) 440-7549; Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm (EST) or email sna@conferencedirect.com.
