Congress Passes Omnibus Spending Bill With Competitive Foods Waiver Report Language
The U.S. Congress has passed a $1.1 trillion omnibus funding bill for the federal government. Contained within the report is language directing USDA to provide a one-year waiver option for LEAs that certify they cannot implement the upcoming "Smart Snacks" rule and/or the school breakfast program without incurring increased costs.

USDA Announces Professional Standards Rule Coming Soon

There are awards for every member type, including the Heart of Program Award (for employees), the Louise Sublette Award (for managers), and the Outstanding Director of the Year Award (for directors).
