  7. Budget Presented to Congress

    President Obama has presented the new 2011-12 budget to Congress. The budget includes full funding for the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Law, as well as proposed SNAP (food stamps) reinstatement which was previously cut. The budget also includes new funding for school breakfast expansion grants as a key part of the effort to meet the President’s goal of ending childhood hunger by 2015.
