After a hugely
successful first year ‘Vote for School Lunch’ is returning as
SNA’s 2007 National School Lunch Week celebration.
‘Vote for School
Lunch’ is a chance for
the nation’s students to vote on their favorite lunch entrees.
5 brand new entrée
choices have been transformed into election candidates based on
research and feedback from students and SNA members. They will be
crisscrossing the nation campaigning for votes from the nation’s
students.
Voting will take place
at
www.VoteForSchoolLunch.org and the site will be available from
June 15, 2006. Voting will also take place in classrooms and
cafeteria across the country. See the Vote Toolkit for paper ballots
and instructions.
The official voting
period is from August 1 until the end of National School
Lunch Week on October 19 and the winner will be announced on
Monday October 22, 2007.
SNA will be promoting
the 5 candidates to students, parents and the media, and helping
them to understand the benefits of eating lunch on the National
School Lunch Program.
As always, it is you,
our members who determine the success of NSLW – so get to know the
candidates and get on the campaign trail!
