Who should attend the Annual National Conference?
Anyone involved with or has an interest in child nutrition and school food service should place SNA’s Annual National Conference on their calendar. It is the premier event for educational sessions, marketplace of exciting products and the best opportunity to network with colleagues. Don’t miss it!
Are there any discounts available for large groups?
Yes, members receive special savings when more than one person in the same membership category registers from their school district. To qualify for these savings, each registrant from the same school district must take the following steps:
What is the dress code?
How do I get tickets to the company sponsored events?
SNA does not handle tickets to these functions; you must contact your sales representative for tickets/access to these parties.
Will all conference programming be held at Mandalay Bay? When does the Annual National Conference officially begin?
All programming is at Mandalay Bay and ANC officially starts Monday, June 29. Registration and Preconference sessions begin Sunday, June 28. Please note that this year is a Monday – Thursday pattern instead of the usual Sunday – Wednesday pattern.
Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
You will receive an immediate electronic confirmation if we have your email on file. Please note that it can take up to 4 weeks to process registrations depending on the volume of registrations received. If you provide an email address, you will receive an electronic information page. If you do not provide an email address or we do not have one on file, you will receive a mailed confirmation approximately 4 – 6 weeks after we have received your registration.
Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my registration?
We accept cancellations if they are received in writing before May 22, 2009. All cancellations are assessed a $50 processing fee. We are unable to process cancellations after that date. Refunds will be processed 30 days after the conference is over.
Will transportation be provided during the conference?
There is no need for shuttle buses as Mandalay Bay and THEHotel are connected.
Can I buy individual additional Closing Event—Concert tickets? What is the cost?
Yes, you may request the amount on your registration form or purchase them on-site. The cost of the ticket is $95.
How many CEU hours will I earn by attending ANC?

If I register for ANC am I automatically registered for Pre-conference Education courses?
No, a separate fee and registration is required for each.
Do I have to be registered for the conference in order to attend the Pre-conference Education Courses?
No, you may register for Pre-conference Education Courses without registering for the conference itself. To register for Pre-conference Education Courses, click here. Please understand that you will not be able to participate in any other events nor visit the exhibit hall.
What hotels have been reserved? What are the rates? Which is the headquarters hotel?
Can I make my hotel reservations now?
What are the registration rates?
Will I receive a confirmation of my housing reservation?
You will receive an email confirmation of your housing reservation. If you do not receive one please send an email to email@example.com to request one.
Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my room reservation?
A $30 cancellation fee will be charged per reservation for all cancellations made prior to June 8, 2008. In addition to this processing fee, cancellations and no-shows after the May 25, 2009 cut-off will be subject to individual hotel cancellation policies. Cancellation fees will be processed no later than 90 days after the conference.
To reserve a hotel room am I required to pay a deposit?
All hotels require a valid Credit Card guarantee with each reservation request. Credit cards may be charged one night’s room deposit after May 25, 2009. Requests received without credit card information or payment will not be processed. If using a debit card for incidentals, the hotel will authorize a minimum of $50 immediately upon check-in.
How do I make changes to my hotel reservation once it has been made?

Are children allowed to attend?
ANC is a professional educational conference therefore it is best to make provisions for childcare. Due to liability issues, children under 16 are not allowed on the exhibit floor for any reason.
If I am a speaker do I need to register for the conference?
Yes, speakers and presiders will receive confirmation letters from the Meetings Manager to register starting in February 2009 if their program has been selected for the 2009 conference.
How can I become a speaker at ANC?
The Call For Presentations has closed but look for ANC 2010’s Call For Presentations at www.schoolnutrition.org early October 2009.
I am a member of the press – do you have press registration?
Yes, we do offer members of the press free registration. To obtain a press registration form please contact Erik Peterson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
