Chapter Leadership Day
Need to brush up on some of your leadership skills? The 4th Annual Chapter Leadership Day is your
opportunity to gather the fresh ideas that will help you lead your chapter through a successful year,
as well as develop programs and services that will enhance your chapter and allow you to attract and
retain members. You also will learn more about all of the SNA resources at your disposal. Breakout
sessions provide opportunity for discussion, including the chance to express any issues confronting
you and learning how these issues can be addressed. All chapter leaders are encouraged to attend this
event. Please indicate on the ANC Registration Form if you plan to attend. Cost: $25
Future Leaders Program
The rising stars of state affiliates will gather for the 3rd annual Future Leaders Program, designed to provide
hands-on training to new and future leaders of SNA. The goal is to strengthen the long-term viability and
effectiveness of state associations and SNA.
State Award Ceremony
Join your colleagues in honoring this year’s state presidents for their efforts to further the mission of the
Association. Also, state and regional winners of the Louise Sublette Award of Excellence, Heart of the Program
and the Outstanding Director of the Year awards will be recognized.

The 2009 Clark County SNA Golf Tournament will be held on June 29th at Siena Golf Club in Las Vegas. Cost:

Wellness Event to Change Our World
Help stomp out global childhood hunger by participating in the Global Child Nutrition Foundation’s annual
wellness event, featuring the popular Zumba® dance workout. With a hypnotic fusion of easy-to-follow Latin
dance moves and cardio workout techniques, Zumba is sure to send your energy level through the roof by the
end of this 45-minute session. Learn to burn calories and increase your fitness level with upbeat instructors
who will lead you through salsa, merengue, chacha and reggaeton rhythms. So grab a friend, get front and center

If you have been an SNA member for 25 years or more, be sure to take part in the Silver Circle luncheon

Come look, learn and network at this year’s Child Nutrition Showcase! These poster presentations are
the best way to learn about recent research and best practices in school nutrition, while mingling with
colleagues from all corners of the country.

School Nutrition’s Annual Exhibit Hall Scavenger Hunt
The ever-popular ANC Exhibit Hall Scavenger Hunt, sponsored by School Nutrition magazine, is back! Don’t miss
your opportunity to explore the aisles in the Exhibit Hall and win fantastic prizes from some of the most popular
booths. All you need to do is have participating Exhibitors punch or initial your playing card (found at
the front of this ANC Program Guide) and return your completed card to the School Nutrition
booth in the Exhibit Hall. Be prepared—some companies may ask you to play a game or complete a challenge
before marking your card!
Within the Exhibit Hall, you will come across one of the most popular features of ANC: the Culinary
Demonstrations. Here you will discover new ideas and innovative ways to enhance school meals. Simple
tips can help you to increase participation in your program. You can hone your edge by learning culinary
techniques, nutrition hints and food presentation skills.

Star Club Breakfast
The SNA Star Club is a program for recognizing and thanking members who are working hard to ensure the
future of the Association by recruiting new members. This is an invitation-only event and Star Club members

Final Event: Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons
Are you looking to get energized for the new school year? Well, nothing will put a smile on your face and a
bounce in your step like this year’s ANC Final Event, featuring rock-and-roll legend Frankie Valli & The Four
Seasons. This American pop music icon and the star on which the Tony Award-winning musical “Jersey Boys” is
based, will be center stage performing those unforgettable doo-wop favorites that will take you back to a
magical time in music history.
Frankie Valli’s incredible career as a solo artist and with The Four Seasons has produced 19 top-10 hits and
sold more than 100 million records worldwide. Their hits “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Walk Like a Man,”
“Candy Girl” and “Rag Doll” are classics. Valli was also on top of the charts for his “My Eyes Adored You,”
