Enjoy the ANC Experience
The first stop of your ANC Experience should be to the SNA Marketplace, the vibrant central hub of ANC. Here you can gather to hang out, exchange
ideas, network and do business. You also can shop the Emporium, explore informational kiosks and meet with the SNA Staff who manage the many programs
and services available to you.

Chapter Leadership Day
Need to brush up on some of your leadership skills? The 3rd Annual Chapter Leadership Day is your opportunity to gather the fresh ideas
that will help you lead your chapter through a successful year, as well as develop programs and services that will enhance your chapter
and allow you to attract and retain members. Presentations by experts will cover topics such as volunteer development, growing membership
and leading effective meetings. You also will learn more about all of the SNA resources at your disposal. Breakout sessions provide
opportunity for discussion, including the chance to express any issues confronting you and learning how these issues can be addressed.
All chapter leaders are encouraged to attend this event. Cost: $25 (Includes lunch)
Shake, Rattle 'N Roll Silent Auction
Get ready to travel back to the era of bobby socks and “American Bandstand” for the School Nutrition Foundation’s Shake, Rattle 'N Roll
Silent Auction. This year’s Silent Auction is sure to feature a hit for everyone, with each aisle featuring a wide variety of
items. All proceeds raised through this event will help support the Foundation's Professional Growth Scholarships Program. For more

Silver Circle Luncheon
If you have been an SNA member for 25 years or more, be sure to take part in the Silver Circle luncheon held in your honor. Please
indicate on the Special Functions section of the Registration Form if you will attend. Cost: $50 per person.
State Award Ceremony
Join your colleagues in honoring this year’s state presidents for their efforts to further the mission of the Association. Also, state and
regional winners of the Louise Sublette Award of Excellence, Heart of the Program and the Outstanding Director of the Year awards will be
recognized.
Wellness Event to End World Hunger
Remember to wear your workout shoes for the Wellness Event to End World Hunger, held early Monday morning. When you take part in this
wellness event, you’ll be joining your school nutrition colleagues and our Global delegates in showing support for stomping out world
hunger. Sponsored by the Global Child Nutrition Foundation (GCNF), MilkPEP, NUTRIKIDS and Schwan’s School Foodservice.
Dance with the “Child Nutrition Stars” at the Child Nutrition Showcase!
Be sure to make your way to the Child Nutrition Showcase to learn about recent research and best practices in school nutrition. This is
your chance to network with your peers and learn about innovative and interesting ideas being applied in school nutrition. Stop by on
Monday, July 21 from 12:00 pm–2:00 pm to hear short presentations on some of the research and best practices, and to talk one-on-one
with the poster authors.
School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) Credentialing Exam
The School Nutrition Specialist (SNS) credential recognizes a high level of professional achievement and communicates to others that
you possess broad knowledge of your profession, that you remain current in your field and that you care about serving safe and nutritious
meals. To learn if you qualify to sit for the exam, call the SNA Service Center at (800) 877-8822 or visit www.schoolnutrition.org for
more details. The registration deadline is July 7, 2008.
Inspirational Service
Sunday morning will commence with a nondenominational inspirational service. This worship service will feature contemporary music
performed by a chorale of talented SNA members. Join this year’s chorale by contacting the SNA Service Center at (800) 877-8822.
FINAL EVENT
An Evening with Patti LaBelle

Are you ready for an event that is sure to bring down the house! Then you won’t want to miss this year’s Final Event, featuring the
unmistakable voice of legendary songstress Patti LaBelle. When this Grammy-award winning artist takes the stage, it’s more than just an
evening of entertainment…it’s a high energy, crowd-pleasing performance by one of the most renowned artists in all of music. You’ll be
out of your seat and dancing in the aisles in no time, once she starts belting out some of her greatest hits, which include "Lady Marmalade,”
“On My Own,” “New Attitude,” “If Only You Knew” and “If You Asked Me To.”
From her beginnings singing in a church choir through her success as lead vocalist of two R&B groups to a staggering solo career, LaBelle
is one of a select few singers who has earned the rare title, Legendary Diva. In addition to her career as a performer and platinum-selling
artist, she also is a best-selling author, actress, entrepreneur and philanthropist.
This memorable event is sure to be the highlight of ANC 2008, so put on your party shoes and plan to be there! The event will take place at 8:00 pm on
Wednesday, July 23rd in the Convention Center. This 80-minute, power-packed show will be performed in a continuous format with no intermission. A ticket to
the show is included in the full ANC conference registration
fee—but in order to receive the ticket, you must indicate on your registration form that you will be attending this event. Remember, space is limited,
so if you haven’t yet registered for ANC—now is the time! This year’s Final Event will not include food or refreshments.
