Air Travel

Ground Transportation

The Convention Center and downtown Los Angeles are 30 miles from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). At LAX, taxis are about $30-$40 (includes tip) and can be found curbside on the Lower/Arrival Level islands under the yellow sign indicating “Taxis.” Free shuttle bus service is provided to the Los Angeles MTA—Metro Rail Green Line Aviation Station. Passengers wishing to use this shuttle bus service should wait under the LAX Shuttle & Airline Connections sign on the Lower/Arrival Level islands in front of each terminal and board the “G” Shuttle. Passengers also can take the “C” Shuttle from the same pick-up point to get to the Los Angeles MTA Bus Center. Super-Shuttle also is located on the lower level of the airport. One-way travel runs for about $17. Advance reservations are not required for arrivals at LAX but reservations should be made for departures back to the airport. Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)
Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA/Metro) is unique among the nation’s transportation agencies. Between the 200 Metro Bus lines and the four Metro Rail lines, with 62 stations, you can travel just about anywhere in Southern California. Connections also can be made to Metrolink commuter rail service and Amtrak at Union Station.

Metrolink is the rail system that operates service on five regional lines in Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Los Angeles and North San Diego to Oceanside. Metrolink connects with Amtrak train stops at various destinations along the Orange County and Ventura County Lines.

America’s national passenger railroad system, Amtrak trains arrive and depart daily, connecting Los Angeles to major cities along the West Coast and Southern California, as well as bringing passengers from routes originating in Chicago and Orlando. Tickets may be purchased in person at any Amtrak station, via phone or on the Internet.

Highway Information

The Los Angeles Convention Center is located at the junction of the I-10-Santa Monica Freeway and the 110-Harbor Freeways. To obtain customized directions to the Convention Center, visit www.lacclink.com.

Parking

There are five parking lots on the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) property. All are managed by the LACC and are in close proximity and a safe walking distance to the convention complex. The current daily parking rate is approximately $10.00.
